Bruckhaus Deringer Substantially Reduces its Carbon Footprint using Verdiem’s SURVEYOR software

- ‘Magic Circle’ legal firm cuts yearly energy consumption by 922,268kw for a saving of £85,000 without disrupting productivity -

Sussex, UK – 13th October 2008 – IT Energy, the UK partner for Verdiem has announced Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms, as its first major win within the legal sector. The company has deployed the SURVEYOR power management and has already cut the power consumption of 5566 desktop PC’s by 34% saving 922,268kw of energy and potential reducing energy bills by a minimum of £85,000 in its first year of use. In addition to saving nearly a megawatt of energy per year, the project reduced company wide CO2 equivalent emissions by 4% based on its externally audited 2006/7 levels of 19635 tonnes.
